Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
Nabir has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your cards are never sent to Nabir’s servers — there are none. They stay on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on, sync through your own private iCloud.
Who we are
Nabir is an iPhone app for saving and learning words, made by Danylo Klyhin, an independent developer. Questions about this policy: hello@nabir.app.
What we collect
Nothing. Nabir does not collect, store or share any personal data on servers we control. It contains no analytics, advertising or third‑party tracking code, and it never asks you to sign up.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you create in Nabir lives on your device: your areas, folders, decks, terms and definitions, photos you attach to terms, learning progress, study days and settings. The answers you give in the welcome questions stay on your device too.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, Nabir syncs your library between your devices using Apple’s CloudKit. The data is stored in your private iCloud database, under your Apple Account. We cannot see, read or access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud off for Nabir at any time in your iPhone’s Settings; your library then stays on the device only.
Features that run on your device
- Translation suggestions use Apple’s built‑in translation with languages downloaded to your iPhone.
- Pronunciation uses the speech voices built into iOS.
- Photos are chosen through the system photo picker. Nabir only receives the photos you pick, never your whole library.
- Saving from other apps through the Share Sheet passes only the text you share into Nabir on your device.
Your control
- Export your whole library as a CSV file at any time in Settings → Data → Export Library.
- Deleted items go to Trash and are removed permanently after 30 days, or right away when you empty it.
- Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone. To remove the iCloud copy, manage Nabir’s data in your iCloud storage settings.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete — but if you have any request about your data, write to us and we will help.
Beta testing
If you test Nabir through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple shares information such as crash reports, device type, usage data and any feedback you choose to send with the developer, as described in Apple’s TestFlight terms. We use it only to fix problems and improve Nabir.
Purchases
Any in‑app purchases are processed by Apple. Nabir never receives your payment details.
Children
Nabir is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
